On a few websites that I have Themler installed, the backend editor does not display correctly. It is very hard to make changes because quite a bit of the visual disappears.

I have attached a sample screenshot of the editor and the site as it is displayed.

Anything that I can do to make the editor match.

Hello Paul,
as you know now Themler allows to edit content directly in Themler. It means that in fact page and posts content is built with shortcodes. If you open any page/post in WP admin back end you'll see it. So if you want customers to edit the content, you need to keep in mind the shortcode.
Moreover the Themler shortcodes are not interpreted by WP Visual editor and thus text is displayed in both Text and Visual tabs of the Edit Page/Post.

However if some content is just added to the Page/Post in WP admin back end without shortcodes, that's OK. The shortcodes are added automatically when theme is opened and saved in Themler.

Regards,
Aileen

I don't think I explained properly. I am more concerned about the menu and other items that Themler creates. Not the content of the post/page.

When I am using themler to build the theme, it would be nice to be able to see what I am creating. I am using the Themler editor in Wordpress. It is part of the appeal of Themler, being able to visually see the menu, logo and title and such as they appear. Also being able to adjust them for normal, laptop, tablet and mobile. When the themler editor acts like this I have to do it all with the options panel and css, update and then review. Does that make sense.

Hi,

Please try to switch off all the plug-ins and also check that the permission settings do not block the access to the Untitled_preview theme.
If that does not help, provide access to your site back end.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi. I have the same problem. Did the themler editor option come back after you switched off some plugins?

I am having the same issue but only use Themler to build the template not build the site content. Once any change is made to the theme it breaks the visuals for the header menus, however when you view the site as a guest its looks fine.

FYI i have disabled all plugins except for Themler-Core and still have the same issue.

The anwer was in the FAQ. It worked for me! :-)
Wordpress Themes
You do not see the Themler admin Menu within WordPress dashboard.

You may not see the Themler admin Menu if you disabled Theme Editor for all users in the WP wp-config.php file by adding the following line:

define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true);

Please change true value to false.

Please refer to to WP Codex for more details.

I’ve run into similar issues with Themler before—sometimes the backend just won’t render properly, making edits frustrating. While troubleshooting, I thought about how much smoother workflows can be when you have reliable templates. For example, using a CapCut template like the iCal CapCut template saves so much time and ensures everything stays well-structured and polished. Having a dependable starting point, whether in video editing or website design, really reduces stress and helps you focus on creativity instead of fighting with the interface.
