Wondering if there is a way to remove the default widget areas in Themler vs the editing the code? I have added my own widget areas but the default first secon third footer show up along with other default Wordpress ones.

Just wondering.

Hi Brian,

If you want to remove Footer Widget Area, just click on it and press Del.

There is a bug with removing of Primary Widget Area.
It appearance again after refresh and this will be fixed in the next update.
In current version, to remove Primary Widget Area correctly please drag it to first level in layout and remove it.

Thanks,
Oleg

I created my own Widget Areas and named them appropriately but there are still some that remain when I go to Wordpress Widget area specifically called

First Footer Widget Area
Second Fooder Widget Area
Third Footer Widget Area
Fouth Footer Widget Area

I do not have those defined in themler so not sure where they are being picked up from. I attached my outline in themler along with what I see in the wordpress backend. The Widget areas I have defined the the ones you will see that I named.

You can definitely customize widget areas without diving into code by using a child theme or advanced theme settings if supported. Also, while exploring UI customization options recently, I found this detailed guide on the Dutch Bros Flavors that cleverly uses layout tweaks to enhance user experience — might give you some layout inspiration too! Let us know if you find a workaround that doesn’t require code.
