Hi everyone,

I am using Themler in combination with Wordpress, therefore I am using W3 total cache to optimize the speed of my website. The only problem is, I enabled Gzip compression in the tool, but it is not working (as shown by Google Pagespeed Insights).

Someone familiair with optimizing a website with a Themler theme in combination with W3 total cache who can help me? Gzip compression is like the most important speed optimization you can do for a website.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Stagger Lee,

Thanks for your answer! It is saying that Gzip is enabled, so that's a good thing (see attachment) :)

But still PageSpeed Insights is telling me that I can spare up to 1,4MB(!) because of sources that are not Gzipped. Many of them are Themler theme files. How come those files are not Gzipped?

Thanks for your time :)

I stoped to blindly believe anything Pagespeed reports.

There are GZIP served by CMS, and GZIP served by PHP server (bot are served by PHP at the end, just in case of PHP level CMS is not aware anything is Gzipped). I dont know what of them Pagespeed checks and dont care about it. Point is it is activated and it works, as you can see.
