Lightbox Off

Hello, this is kind of like Artisteer and the default of all images being lightboxed. I am not sure about others but I would use this maybe 1% of the time and only on an HTML5 site.

Most professional websites don't have images linked to a popup of the same size thumbnail or even use image popups at all unless it's a photo gallery. I find it interfering with components in Joomla.

Can you offer a solution to have this off as default? I did not understand this in Artisteer and now need to open all the templates to turn off each time. Can you put in a global option or just make it off by default?

Thanks

The only time I want an image linked is if I do it myself, other than that ... no

I agree 100% since professionals will optimize and image and size it offline. No image popup the same size is necessary.

I agree, Dave. This is truly nasty. I still can't turn it off.

Hi,

Currently the only option to disable lightbox is the following option of the Post Content control:

disable-lightbox5.png

In all other cases you can try adding class="no-lightbox" to the images.

Thank you,
Olivia

Yes but where to find it. I had it in the old-style UI, but now the post-Content option is not so easy to find. Half the time the "posts" tab doesn't show up. I just had to exit the editor and go back in and now "posts" is showing. I turned it off for the "home" template but when I go to "page", the posts option is missing.
Lightbox is not an option under image styles.
I have been trying to work around various "features" of Themler for a long time now but am rapidly giving up hope. It just takes too long to do the most mundane things.

Hi,

The Posts control can be found in the tree view in the left panel or you can click in the content area within your page template and then in the bottom you will see the path of the controls, press on the Posts control there and the options will appear in the top ribbon like shown in the screen shot above.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

Here is another one for to solve:
I have disabled LightBox option in all templates.
I have Lightbox Module separately in Drupal.
Content Inline images need to have class="lightbox" in order the Lighbox effect take place - BUT - loks like this is the same class to enable Lightbox supplied with Themler, so Drupal module Lightbox does not works because of this.
So - in my poor opinion - you need to have the options for Lightbox to be DISABLED theme wise - DISABLED at all, and not to be saved in to the Themes.
as workaround I have to use the Colorbox module, but I would really need Lightbox...

Regards,
Kos

Hi,

It should be the same, open the Posts control on the Home template and then use the instructions above.
The Posts control can be found in the Outline in the left panel.

Sincerely,
Hella

Vote! When you create a new theme a lot of time is spent on unnecessary shutdown options, including the lightbox. Lightbox is not required for all images on the page, and is not required for CMS. Suffice constant agony with multiple templates and bad CSS editor.
