I read a support post in the forums that stated that Themler will likely work fine with the new Joomla 3.5 release, but what about Themler and the new PHP 7?

Joomla 3.5 has built in compatibility with PHP 7, and using PHP7 can have a huge impact on site speed, your site can run 50% faster in some cases. See THIS ARTICLE. So is Themler PHP 7 ready? If not when can we expect it?

Hi,

This issue has already been fixed in Themler internal version and the permanent fix will be available in the next Themler major update.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
Ivan

i updatet the Joomla Version in Themler to 3.5
But PHP is still 5.4

In the next major update, is then installed Joomla 3.5 and PHP7?
Best Regards

PHP in this case refers to the language used on your hosting side. So any PHP changes would be implemented through your hosting. The only areas of concern with Themler or Joomla as far as PHP goes are compatibility with newer PHP versions.

To note, you’d want to make sure any Joomla extensions you’re using are compatible with any PHP upgrades you might do. As the article recommends in my original post, you can check with any developers if need be.

Hi Ivan,

It's so nice to know you all are working on this issue. Has it been resolved yet? I'm itching to upgrade my server to PHP 7...

Themler works for me without a problem at php7 - after all, you can always come back to a lower version.

Yes, that's right. Also it may work fine for you if you are using the beta updates.

Sincerely,
Hella
