Content area and location questions from a newby.

I am excited to discover Themeler today! As a long time Artisteer user, I wasn't looking forward to buying templates an themes that didn't qite do what I wanted, and now I don't have to.

My first project is to update a Joomla site with about 250 pages, most with individual slideshows using ARI Image slider, as well as banner & side column ads using Flex banners. So here are my questions:

I want to add to the content area on the front page a) a slide show using the ARI plugin, and below that b) some featured articles. How do I add the two features to this area?
How do I create the side column layout in the content area on pages other than the home page?
Where can I find a location map so I can locate the banner ads & some vertical menus.

Once I have these answers I can get a first version of a responsive template up and running, then refine it over time, Thanks for your help!

UPDATE - 1 additional problem:

When I export to a zip file, no zip file is created - hard to install!

Where does Themler store my template files on my laptop?

Hi,

To add the content you need to open the Home template, navigate to the Layout tab and enable the CMS Content option under the Content and Sidebars drop-down. Then also activate the top sidebar, place the module position there and then you can assign the slider module to that position.
The file is exported to the folder where you usually download the files n your Chrome browser, probably the Downloads folder. you can change the downloads location like explained here:

Thanks for the speedy reply on a holiday weekend Hella :-)

I have the module position in place, but it shows up on other pages too, not just the Home page. Is there a way to specify that it is on the Home page only?

I'm using the desktop version, not online. When I export to zip file, and specify a location for the save, nothing appears. I've searched my computer for the file name I specified, and nothing is found. I confirmed that there is nothing in the downloads folder.

New problem. While I'm waiting for the joomla answers, I start work on a Wordpress project. Suddenly I get kicked out and all I see is a Wordpress login dialogue box. I've never logged in with Wordpress before in Themler, so I am stuck until I hear from you.
