NEW TEMPLATES NOT CREATING PROPERLY

I have seen this issue reported before, but no resolution given.

When I create a new template in Themler, the new template:

a) Does not show up on the template drop down list in Wordpress
b) Overwrites the existing templates of the same type.

For your info, I am using these templates directly in the editor feature through Wordpress, so it's through my browser rather than the Themler app. I am using an iMac on the El Capitan OS X.

Can you advise please as a matter of urgency as this relates to a live website as well as 3 other sites that I have built that are waiting to be published.

Hi,

a) Does not show up on the template drop down list in Wordpress

The list of templates displays custom Post and Page templates only.

b) Overwrites the existing templates of the same type.

The template of what type you have created?

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

Yes, I realise that it's custom posts and pages that are listed, that's what I'm expecting, but when you go to a page in Wordpress and then look for the created templates in Page Attributes window on the right of the page, the dropdown only displays the Homepage template.

I tried to create a custom page, post and a custom blog (archive).

Hi,

Please attach your exported theme so we could overview the templates. Export the theme with the editor included.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

As mentioned in my previous reply the list of templates in WP displays custom Post and Page templates only.
In the attached theme I see only one Custom template:

custom-template.png

But you need POST and PAGE custom templates:

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,
I have the issue b).
When I change a parameter of CMS content o Page template also changes it in Home template or default template and vice versa.
This has not happened before with the same template.

For your info, I am using Themler app too, not desktop and El Capitan OS X.

Hello Raul,
please provide more details about the last issue. What exactly you're changing for the CMS content on Page template?

Regards,
Aileen

Hi,

Further to this issue, can you please take a look at the attached exported theme. When I create new custom pages, any change made on one page is replicated across all pages.

i.e. any change that I make on the ABOUT page, appears on the The System page as well.

What am I missing, or doing wrong?

Thanks

Hello,
to make the changes appears only on the template which is being edited (and do not affect other templates) use 'Customize Template style' option for Posts
