Wordpress Archive and Singlepage Template

hi there,

i want to create 2 custom templates for my custom post type named "training".
1. archive
2. single

Ive name the archive template "archive-training.php" and everything is fine. The list shows me all custom post types "training".
But if i create "single-training.php" each change to the single template also effects the archive template.

do you know what i mean? what am i doing wrong?

Hi,

I assume that you are changing something in the Posts control? In this case please open the Posts control options in the top ribbon and use the Customize Template styles option to edit the current template only. If that does not help, please attach your theme ad let us know what changes you are trying to apply.
