Open a theme on desktop that has been edited online

My workflow is creating a theme on the desktop version of Themler, then uploading into Wordpress, then tweaking things in the Themler online.

How do I get the most recent version of that theme that was edited online, back to my desktop so I can open it in Themler on the desktop and make a copy of it to create my next theme?

Hi,

Simply export the theme from your online editor with the Themler included and then import it into desktop version. Note that the content won't be exported.

Great. Thank you. Another related question: I have created a theme on the desktop and exported it without Themler included because I want to pass the theme off to a client who manages their own Wordpress site and I don't want them messing with Themler online in the backend of Wordpress. Is there no way to open that theme up again in Themler on the desktop? I am getting an error when trying to import it that only Themler themes are supported.

Hi,

Yeah, if you exported a theme without Themler module once then it's not possible to open it in Themler anymore.
