change column background color on hover

Hello David,
we're planning to add special Box control that has onHover state. It allows to change background color with transition effects. The Box may be located inside other controls like Row with Columns and inside the Box you may locate different controls, e.g. Joomla modules

Right now to add hover effect for a DIV or image, etc. custom CSS code is needed. Here is a couple of good samples

Is there still no way to do Column Background color change on hover?

You may consider to put the Hover Box over the column and set colors there. Let us know if any additional questions appear in process.
