Hello,

The idea is good but it has issues:

  • Not consistently working demos don't look the same when installed locally.
  • There should be a zoom down option in the view
  • Artisteer should be availble for linux, I guess if this is being developed as a replacement then not much point.

This is the best tool I've seen for doing templates online. Looking forward to the real release.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. May I ask you for some explanations?

Not consistently working demos don't look the same when installed locally.

What exact parts are missing? And what templates you are talking about? the one created in Themler or those available on templates.themler.com?

There should be a zoom down option in the view

Where exactly you would like to see this option and also could you provide a link to some site showing the idea?

Regarding Artisteer. You can contact the Artisteer support for more information, but as far as I know, they have never had plans to create the Linux version and now they are concentrated on the Windows version only.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

The non consistent part is when you try one of the free demos for a template. It works fine on your site. When I download it and try it there are parts of it missing, i.e. it does not match the demo on your site out of the box. After trying three 3 free templates and not getting them to look like the demo on your site I gave up. I delete that site so can't provide login details. I have lot of testing to do and as most of the support is done on getting replies asap on forums, not sure if there is a set SLA, after purchasing. For now I moved onto something else, but I will try it again soon and provide the login details.

I did purchase the photo service which I like. It's really a great UI, with quality images.

The zoom option is for people who do not have a letterbox big screen, it would nice to have a zoom feature to zoom out so I can see all the template I'm editing on a smaller screen, right now I have to do a lot of scroller right first and then scroll up, and so on, in the edit window.

Regards.

Hi,

Thanks for the explanation.
Abut the look of the template on the live site. I will be glad to see it when you get on it again. In any case the main idea is that Themler creates design and not content. So you can design various placeholders for widgets and also set the look of the content like articles, but the articles can not be created in Themler. Themler ca produce the static content like text boxes with images that you won't be able to edit from the WP admin.
The proper way is to install the theme on your site, then go in Themler from your admin, refresh the content so you will see the real site i the edit window. When you add some content from the WP side it will appear in Themler after Content Refresh operation.
In case there are other problems with the content, just let me know.

Regarding the zooming option. If I understood your right, you can simply use the Ctrl+ or Ctrl- combinations to zoom the Themler screen as any other website in browser.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

It was joomla ones I was trying, I'll let you know. thanks.

The zoom was more referring to the actual working area, when designing you have left pane and main working area, on the right, my main working area (I think it's inline frames, not sure) I want to zoom out only on the working area part, if possible or a future feature, not the entire browser zooming in and out. I have not tried it but if I can specifically to the ctrl+/- on the working area then that's fine.

Thank you.
