Hi

Hope you can help me. I have a site that is using an extension RSDIRECTORY.

There is a link in it that links to a modal form.

The send message button on this page. Image attached.

http://bellbowrieproperties.com.au/buy/20-over-55-enjoy-the-lifestyle

I can't get the form to show.

I asked the RSJOOML.com guys about it and the gave me the reason below.

"Regarding the frontend issue you have described, please note that this is caused by the fact that your template loads Bootstrap 3.x:

http://bellbowrieproperties.com.au/templates/jwbellbowriebd/css/bootstrap.css

and not Bootstrap 2.3.2 as the Joomla! standard. RSDirectory! as well as our other extensions have been designed by following the Joomla! standard and in order the component to work properly, we recommend using Bootstrap 2.3.2.

Please contact your template developer directly regarding this matter, they should be able to provide assistance."

Is there anything that can be done to help with this issue?

Thanks David

Hi,

Themler is built on Bootstrap 3 version and Bootstrap versions are not compatible between each other. We can not use Bootstrap 2 in Themler as it will break all the theme. So there is nothing we can do about this issue.
Also the Bootsrtap 4 version is coming out soon, so version 2 is really outdated.

Sincerely,
Hella

Ok thanks, I would definately rather use the latest bootstrap versions. I'm not sure why extension makers would limit bootstrap to version 2 just because joomla uses 2 for the backend.

so there is no work around for this.

Thanks

David

Unfortunately no. You can use another theme or another plug-in, there is no way to use both Bootstrap versions on the site in one time.

Hella
