I was actually able to resolve this by not adding images directly into the post. I simply attached the image as a featured image for the post and it displayed correctly. I am sure I will run across the issue of adding images directly into post again though.

Hello Anthony,
if image is added directly to post or page you may adjust its size (and other options) using HTML >> Image options
