How do I enable Image lightbox on some pages and not others on Wordpress?

The image lightbox option really messes with WooCommerce when viewing categories. The trick is to disable Image light box under Posts - Post Content - Image Lightbox. The problem is this is a global site change. I also have a photo gallery page. Any idea on how to enable image light box on just my photo gallery page?

Hi,

To disable / enable lightbox for template you can follow these steps:
1. Select Template.

1-select-template.jpg

2. Select Post control (on left panel)
2-select-post-control.jpg

3. Switch Lightbox on Ribbon > Posts (tab) > Post Content > Image Lightbox
3-switch-lightbox.jpg

You can disable / enable lightbox effect for one template. So, you can create 2 post templates, for posts with lightbox, and for posts without one.

Please follow these steps:
1. Disable Lightbox for Post template (see above).
2. Create new Template based on Post.

1-add-new-template.jpg

2-post-name.jpg

3. Enable Lightbox for created Template (see above)
4. You can set Template for any posts in WP admin (Select post in WP admin and see right panel).

Thank you,

The problem with creating a new Post template is that it messes with the blog. You can't set a template for the blog in wp_admin backend. By creating the new template my blog is effected. Essentially my blog and my photo gallery page have to share the same template. These two pages need to be styled different. Is there another way?

Hi,

LightBox can be enabled / disabled for template. So you need two templates, one for pages with lightbox and one for pages without lightbox.

You can create new Template using Blog Template Type or Page Template Type, or Home Template Type.

This does not work! I also want lightbox on some pages but not others. So created a Page Lightbox template, a duplicate of the Page template with the Lightbox off. But the Lightbox switch appears to be global, change it in one template and its changed in the others when I switch back to those in Themler desktop.

Hi,

Can you please try to use 'Add Template' instead 'Duplicate template'? You can select 'Page' type of new template in Add Template dialog.

In this case show lightbox options will be independent in two templates.

Thank you,
