Hey, I know how to add a vertical menu into a Wordpress template by using primary widget area but how can I give it the properties that the whole site content is beside the menu? I want to create a template with a vertical menu at the left side, it shall be visible at all pages and the whole content should be on the right side of it. Furthermore the whole content of the primary widget area should be at the left side like a sidebar.

How can I do this?

Hello,

If I understand correctly, you would like to achieve the layout like this:

i316.png

For this please drag the Header into the Content&Sidebars area (in the right part just above content). The Top sidebar, if no more needed, can be disabled.
The Left Sidebar will have the whole area on the left. You may put just the Vertical Menu widget into the primary widget area, it will be present on all tempaltes.
Please note that you will need to move the Header in this way on all templates (Home, Page etc.).

Sincerely,
Nettie,
