Hi We are working several years as webmaster. We make websites for customers. We sell our service with the option to manage their own website by themselves.
For this reason we use joomla, because this application is simple and usefull. People without programming knowledge can edit the content data
Now we started to use Thembler for Joomla, but lot of sections can´t modify without Thembler
For example: If the customer want to change the phone number, he can not. Because he will need the thumbler license
I want to know how the customer can modify this simple content without thembler. Please see the attached file which show the sections that will be useful to modify by the customer

Hi Alberdimb and Themler developers ...

We have the same problem ...

Fast all text parts of web pages we create in Wordpress should be editable be endusers without themler ... and should be multilanguage....

We use for this widgets ... with these widgets we can import into themes all items which use widgets ... that means
end user can dynamically change some parts of their webpages ... without our assistance ...

Please it would be good to think about this possibility ...

Hello.

Please check this topic: Do you plan to develop Content Construction Kit for CMS?

Currently Themler Dev Team working on the plugin for WP and Joomla that allows to edit Themler Sections using visual editor. But there is no information how it will work exactly with the Themler sections.

Hi Vitalyi,

I don't understand why we need new plugin from Themler, when we have widgets in WP...
I think there is best way to develop the possibility to use widgets in Themler section ....
If it is possible on Homepage, then it should be possible on other pages ...

If we use combination of Themler Templates and widgets, we don't need to install Themler editor to customers web site...
to be able to change texts on pages ... And customers are able to change texts ... themselves ...

I see it exactly as JPa.
I use Joomla and Components, Modules and Plugins.
Themler is a Templategenertor and Jommla is a CMS
My Customers are always able to edit their Content in Joomla

I have found a way how to make this happen in Joomla and other CMS.

  • Joomla lets us to create custom module with source code, ok then, lets see -

Follow those steps:
- Create an article.
- Link the Home (menu link) to single article, and then chose the article you created.
- In themler, refresh themler content and the article you created should show up in green.
- Add sections to the CMS content (the article) in green.
- Save, go to the article in Joomla admin, view source and copy it.
- Create a joomla custom module: paste source code you just copied and save.
- It should know work as Joomla module and you can modify the text easily.

I hope this will work for you.

Hello guys,
just a 2 cents to your discussion: end user may edit any CMS content from the CMS admin back end. It does not require access to Themler. For example: Joomla articles, Joomla modules, WP posts, WP pages, WP widgets, menus.
I.e. all dynamic content could be modified from admin back end without Themler.

The static content like images, static text, sliders, etc. is stored inside theme, this is part of the theme. This content could be edited only in Themler. For example the text blocks marked on screenshot
http://attachments.answers.billiondigital.com/882/15882/image.jpg
most probably are Text controls. In this case they could be edited in Themler only.
But if they're added as Text Widgets in WP then they could be modified from WP admin back end

regards,
Aileen

Do you think that this will be easy to edit for an user without html knowledge and he only manage basic joomla?

ej.jpg

The templates Should be useful for styles and position.
An advantage of joomla is the use of modules for editing in the footer, although this is a static text, you may want to change the user.

Well, I remember that Artisteer had such possibility. When we created something in Artisteer, it was automaticly converted to HTML visual code, and we could easy edit it in CMS admin as a module or article.

If a customer decides to take over maintenance of a site created using themler, running under my license, can they just buy a licence and then have full access to all the editing features that have been available under my license?

Hi,

Yes, they will be able to edit the theme as you can now. Just check that they purchase the appropriate subscription to be able to edit the type of the theme you have.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hola JPa, los widgets de texto o Visual content no se posicionan, no sirven, no permiten seo, complican todo.
