My responsive menu isn't showing a background, or pushing the page down, so my links aren't very noticeable and aren't clickable. Help!

Hi,

I do not understand the issue completely. You have the menu sliding down in responsive mode and it has the white menu background. Please provide a marked screen shot demonstrating what you want to achieve.
Also we would need your theme or an access to the site back end.
