With the new update I can't remove the Backlink. I was able to Display None. But that isn't very cool. I want to remove the backlink to have my own website information on my clients sites.

How do I remove the backlink with the New Beta latest update.

I can also tell it what to display on.. but I want the feature back where I can click the "X" in the Outline and remove it all together.

See attached. I want it removed from here. OR give us the option to update the text to what we need it to be.

Hi guys,

From now on it's only possible to adjust backlinks control via Themler Settings.
Please have a look at the following screenshot:

Can you let them know this is an extra step and a pain? I would rather click the x and remove it from the outline view. Just saying

I does feel as though they are pushing to have that backlink, comes over as very grasping and unprofessional. If I produce a document with Microsoft word, it does not try to stick a label on the footer saying made with Word does it.

By removing the "x" to remove it and by hiding it in settings it does feel as though they are trying to "discourage" paying customers from removing it.

I would expect this behavior from freeware not a paid for subscription software.

I agree and was surprised.

Hi,

We moved it there and gave more options to customize that control so you could change it into the link to your own credentials. And also we made it more like it was in Artisteer. We do not force anyone to leave that backlink on your themes.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella, unfortunately that does not see, to be the case. This is on a local dev install, no plugins and a fresh fully updated version of Themler. I edited the fields for the backlinks under settings as shown in attached screenshot yet it still outputs "created with Themler" in the backlinks alongside my own details.
Screenshot showing the "created with Themler" remains after adding own details in Settings

Hello Angela,
that's behavior by design that "created with Themler" are displayed. On the screenshot the Backlinks are enabled and fields are filled. So the text
WordPress theme created with Themler
is predefined text which should be displayed. The WordPress link points to Themel link, Author is displayed properly and lined to the Auther link. So that's correct. Al custom entered info is displayed

Regards,
Aileen

So if as developers we wish to display our own details by using the backlinks then we are in effect being forced to also declare to the world that we have used Themler as I asserted above?
No thank you! From now on I will make sure that I replace the backlinks with my own section, very, very unprofessional behaviour from a company that charges that much on an annual basis for the e-commerce version which I have.

I also subscribe to Adobe creative cloud for Photoshop and Lightroom, it is fairly standard practice for photos that I sell to have a small discrete watermark on them at the lower price range (removed for the more expensive ones) which helps freelancers like myself but thank god Adobe do not try to stamp the image for all to see as that is just the tool kit I use.

Sorry to rant but this has rattled me after being forced to manually remove all of the Artisteer stuff from every file in a theme produced with it in the past.

I AGREE 100% AND IT FRUSTRATES ME TO HAVE ANOTHER STEP...

Please remove, created with Themler from the back link option... I shouldn't need another step by turning it off and creating a section of my own. As a professional selling website designs I don't want Themler listed on my websites. Dreamweaver and Adobe products OR Photoshop would never do such a thing.

Hello Lorelei,
thank you, we see your point. The relevant suggestion is passed to developers team to consider changes in Themler.

Aileen
