How do I access a layer hidden by z-index??

While adjusting z-index on a layer, once it moved my "Section" in front of my slider, I now have no access to my slider at all that I can find anywhere. "Layout View" used to allow me to select the layer. Apparently that is either no longer working or has been changed. How can I get my layer back to edit? Please help!

Hi,

Have you tried to use the Outline view in the left panel? That should give you access to all the controls.
