Hi guys
why are the template-options for header/footer grayed out for the "Page not found"-Template? I actually want to show my header and footer to this page.... if there is any work around, let me know ;)

Best wishes

Hi,
Usually 404-page is the blank page with the error message only. There is indeed no way to enable the Header and Footer on that template, but you can add the custom section and use it as the header.

Hella
Okey....is this cause themler can't or cause joomla/wp can't?
i think the 404-page is one of the most important pages, cause if you cant provide the visitor any other links(nav) and a good message, you lose them on this page...
thanks for your answer

Hi,
In Wordpress you can add Header / Footer area to 404 template by switches in Ribbon > Insert > Header & Footer.
In Joomla you can't add Header / Footer area to 404 template, but you can add other controls. For example you can add TextBloks, Images, Sections to provide message and links to other page. All controls available for 404 template can be found on Insert Ribbon tab.
Thank you,

Just tossing my two cents in on this issue. The blank 404 page is a non-starter. There absolutky needs to be a way to easily add the header and footer for the 404 page. That is just absurd that you can't easily add a menu to the 404 page....hence you have NO navigation unless you put links in the body of the 404 page.
Please fix this!

Thanks for your feedback, we'll consider it for the future implementations.

I too, agree with this.
It would be great if one could use the header and footer also on the custom 404 page.
