Themler is the most frustrating theme builder I've ever seen.

What should be the simplest tasks are almost insurmountable in Themler. I created a blank sheet and added a header. The simple tasks of setting sheet size and centering the header image are impossible. Nothing I tried works.

It's lunacy to pay an annual fee to use such a user unfriendly piece of software.

Hello Raymond,
thank you for your interest in Themler.
Lets try to clarify the issues you reported.

Sheet Width
the width is different for different screen sizes (Desktop, Laptop, Tablet and Phone). It is set under Home >> Settings >> Grid Layout

Also the container controls like Content, Layout Container, Section, etc. has the option Length where you could specify the container length(width)

To center Image control (and other controls) in Header follow the steps:
-add Container control inside Header

InsertContainer.png

-set its Align property to Center

-insert Image

Согласен с автором вопроса. Очень разочарован тратой денег на эту систему. В дополнение могу написать. SEO настроек толковых нет. Меню не настраивается. Нельзя сделать пункт меню с произвольным адресом. Галерею сделать невозможно. Пишут ставьте на CMS и не хотят понять, что не всегда это нужно... Денег хотят, а адекватной работы не видно...

Нельзя сделать пункт меню с произвольным адресом.

На самом деле можно, но через создание страницы. Создаете страницу, в Page Properties есть поле "Custom URL" куда пишите свою URL. Но создание айтема возможно только через создание страницы.
Themler это программа для создание шаблонов. Галлерея к шаблонам не относится. В интернете и так море готовых галерей на любой вкус.

Themler is not for beginners. In order to work in Themler need the knowledge of the rules of the CMS where you're doing, CSS and more.

It would be wonderful to have Themler for Dummies, Themler Bible or Themler Missing Manual where they could read the operating instructions.

Example for Beginners: How to Add Search Control in the header?

Procedure: Insert menu> Header & Footer> Turn on Header (All Templates) or Header Show On Home> More ...> Search Control.

Often times it is confusing when you add elements (navigation, control, ...) that you can have 'em container or something else. If these things are clarified, it would be much easier to work in Themler.

A novice can operate in Themler only on the principle of trial and error. It's terribly frustrating! :(

To drive a car you need to go practice and then buy a car. Same with Themler.

He asked to support that make a video lesson on how to make a simple theme for WordPress (posts in content, primary widget adrea, secundary widget area) so that beginners can see how it works. Then it will be much easier for later.

Themler has a step learning curve.................but this is as expected as with any software that is at the level of themler, as I only use for wordpress themes my two cents will be in relation to this area. Themler allows so much in the way of customisation for wordpress themes, there are very few tools that allow the level of customisation that themler gives. Have you ever tried to build a wordpress theme by hand? Its a long road and a nightmare, themler really takes a massive amount of work out of the development and gives you so many options to do so many things to the theme. Don't complain about the tool just because you can't understand it in 30 seconds.

I will agree, it has a steep learning curve and documentation is not so good, it takes a while to learn all the in's and out's but once you learn it and know it well you can build incredible themes and can do it fast. One massive highlight is you can jump onto any machine on any platform (mac, windows, linux) as long as you run a supported browser and basically build anything you want in the theme, there are no other tools that allow this. Want an easy WYSISG tool, use nicepage.

My only gripe with Themler is that development has slowed significantly due to the release of nicepage ................. I understand the market, targeting people who don't have the tenacity to sit and learn a new tool like themler in depth, they want instant gratification. I truly hope soon the team will be back and working on themler as it is in my opinion one of the best tools for wordpress development.
