Hello Amilcar ,
the Shopping Cart fields are not set up in Themler. Shopping cart is set up under ViertueMart settings in Joomla admin back end. May be sometimes special plugins are needed. You'd better search on VM forums

regards,
Aileen

Ok I understand your answer.
Just not to get any questions.
The attached file is a part of Themler screen and indicate the fields that wish to modify.
My question is if I use a specific plugin will be no conflict with the layout of Themler, especially when there is an update of the layout?

Hi,

I can not say for sure how it will work, but please feel free to try. I think that there should not be any issues about that.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Amilcar, I had a similar question before about customizing the purchase summary page. To remove a field like "rate," I had to tweak the display logic in the cart or checkout template—depends on the system you’re using. It’s kind of like discovering Plaza Singapore food options—at first glance it seems standard, but once you're there in Dhoby Ghaut, you realize there's so much variety tucked into every corner. Just takes a little digging!

When defining fields in a shopping cart, clear pricing and item details are essential for a smooth user experience. The wendys coffee menu helps illustrate this by showing how organized menu pricing allows customers to quickly understand costs before checkout. Having accurate price fields, just like a well-structured menu, builds trust and reduces confusion during the buying process.

I actually have the same question and I’m trying to figure this out as well. I’m not sure where the fields for the purchase summary are defined, or how to control which product fields appear there. I’m also specifically interested in pulling in something like the rate field. If anyone can point to where this is configured or explain how to customize the purchase summary fields, I’d really appreciate it too. It kind of reminds me of building out a digital menu experience — like organizing items on the Texas Roadhouse menu — where only certain details (price, description, or category) are shown depending on context. Getting that level of control would make the whole setup much clearer and more user-friendly, similar to how this website lays out menu information cleanly and intuitively.

A shopping cart is designed to gather selected items in one place so the purchasing process feels simple and orderly, and it creates a chance for customers to think about their choices before completing payment. This tool can help people stay aware of their budget and quantities while keeping everything clearly in front of them. With better organization, there is always a sense of possibility that shopping becomes faster and more relaxed. Two or three additional points show that carts also reduce confusion, support smooth movement through a store, and make it easier to compare options. When a store plans its target time opening around busy periods, the cart system offers an opportunity to handle crowds efficiently. Overall, the idea gives every buyer a feeling that a balanced and convenient experience is achievable.

In shopping cart terms, “fields” usually mean the data points that describe each item added before checkout. Common fields include product name, item ID, price, quantity, subtotal, taxes, and total amount, plus optional fields like notes or modifiers. For food ordering, clear fields matter even more because users want to see portion details, calorie info, and price changes instantly when customizing a meal. Menus with structured categories and transparent pricing make this process smoother and reduce checkout confusion. A good real-world example of how menu data maps cleanly into cart fields can be seen here: https://thepandaexpressmenu.com/

Defining and customizing shopping cart fields would be a great improvement. Store owners should be able to add, remove, or edit fields (like phone number, delivery notes, or custom options) directly from settings without needing extra plugins or code. This would make the checkout process more flexible, user-friendly, and better suited for different business needs. I also came across Kfcmenuu burger options south africa while browsing online, which was quite helpful.
