Themler v.346 Beta Update (30-August-2016)

Hi everyone,

The new Themler v.346 Beta is here!
Here is a list of fixes and features included in this beta update:

Improvements

  • Ability to free-position any control to any exact place you like. It means that if there is no appropriate d'n'd layout position for control the absolute d'n'd position will appear (just like in Slider or Container).

  • Split all Large Headers to Header section for All Templates and Intro section (usually with Slider) for Home Template only.
    This behavior will be applied to newly added Large Header Sections on the Home template only.

  • Cross-template areas like Header, Footer, Sidebars are now accessible as Ribbon Tab for selected children controls:

  • Few options added to Header Area tab:

    • Sticky (previously named ‘Fix on Scroll’) to stick Header position during page scrolling
    • Homepage Style – allows to override fill, border and text properties for Home template (e.g. to make navbar transparent on Home page only) . It will be applied to single inner section or header Area itself. It is available on Home template only.
    • Overlap Next Section – set position:absolute to Header Section to overlap next Section (it is some Intro section usually). It will be applied to single inner section or Header Area itself. It is available on Home template only.

  • Improved Backlinks control. Now it is possible to disable backlinks to CMS and Themler under the Home tab >> Settings.

  • Added option to add/remove Columns left and right margin:

  • Removed Canvas control. The Canvas control was merged with Layout Container control. Now there is single Container control which supports any type of positioning.

  • Improved Themler stability.

Fixes

  • Fixed issue with positioning of Horizontal menu control after update (when it was impossible to click on menu items).
    Fixed issue with links in WP.
  • Other minor fixes.

Good news, but, how should we understand a "beta update"? Should we upgrade? or is it better to wait for this update becomes "official released"? Thanks

yiyedj,

If we find mo major problems we'll switch this update to official public update.
In any case themler creates a backup of the theme before each update. If something goes wrong you will be able to go back to the previous version.

Hi Olivia,

Ok, then we have to use this beta version for test with carefull because can have bugs. You don't recomend use beta versions for production websites. right?

Usually Beta versions do not have major problems. But you're using it on your own risk.

Since the beta update, we can no longer change the font size of a Horizontal Menu. It just ignores any changes we make to the font size we want. Font is Open Sans. Trying to set the size to 20px but it stays at the default (13px?). However, if we Right-click and use the "More Options" palette, then it will accept the font size change there. This is a brand new Wordpress template, nothing else has been changed on the template yet. Just started working with the menu first.

Tried removing the menu and adding a new one. Same results. This is the Desktop version, have not tried a live site version yet since we just started working on a new template.

If you already have Container you just need to start moving control. The absolute zone (like it was in Canvas) appears when there is no relative or float zones.
With empty Container in works in the same way. Relative zone is close to middle on the Container.

Now the absolute zone can be anywhere on the page, not just inside Container. For example. absolute zone in sidebar:
