  • I change a lot directly on Themler server.
  • Download theme as Zip, overwrite old one on my localhost.
  • Some changes are there, some are never shown.
  • I repeat proces smany times, same thing.

Do you have some RAM caching on servers preventing this ?

Themler option in WP backend is nice addition, but I find it unnecessary. I want my changes usable form every place I login on cloud. As I see it is same slow/fast, so no benefit in this too.

Artisteer had it better for central managing of theme folders, and .artx files. You could keep them in one place/folder for better overview. Now, Themler cloud is meant to serve the same thing, but not all my changes are visible on website when I overwrite theme.

If you understand me right. Thank you for Themler option in WP backend, nice addition, but decided not to use them.

  • Need for login at clients websites to check something, change something.
  • Those changes are as I see it not synced with Themler cloud. (biggest argument against themler editing in WP backend)
  • Last, you have no clue what you are editing, and where.

But it is just my opinion.

I would like answer why my changes on Themler cloud are not inside theme I download as Zip ?

Additional short info:

  • Changes in WP backend Themler options = changes visible directly.
  • Changes on Themler cloud = changes not visible, mostly Blog problems.

Or maybe I misunderstood it.
If Themler editing in backend works with simple themes than we dont need something like .artx file. We can make backups and some central place for all themes from pure theme folders.

Now I have question.

Can we get some documentation about Billion Themler options in backend. Most answer, is everything in backend synced with latest options on cloud ?
Dont mean theme, but Themler scripts and options.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.
At first you should understand that Cloud should be used only for themes that you want to share (sale) on BillionThemes. Cloud is not a theme storage. That's why it's no synchronized with the theme installed on you local/hosted WP.
So, if you're not going to sale theme on BillionThemes its better to work locally. Yes, there is no .artx similar format. But you can save changes to the theme on local WP, download it to create "new project" or backup.
The downloaded theme can be installed on another WP and edited in Themler as new theme.

What is cloud? This is the fully functional CMS (WP in your case) which has limited time of live. Theme saved to cloud includes database changes to restore this theme on another cloud CMS when opened.

Themler application is the same when you working on cloud or on your local/hosted WP. There is no difference in scripts, options. controls, etc.
The only difference is that working locally is a little faster.

We'll create FAQ about Themler functionality.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

Thanks. OK now small pieces fall in place. That is important for organizing all work.

So, if I am understanding the Cloud correctly, I build a wordpress theme on your Cloud just as I could on an internal server. The Themler editor uses Chrome as its interface and gives me wysiwyg editing, drag and drop etc etc., and the design stays up there for a time to be previewed - correct?

If so, is it possible to build a whole site there complete with images and copy to test aspects of the design across the site?

And if so, can I then migrate that whole thing (html and all) to a client's WP installation?

Hi,

You can design the site on the cloud, then download the .zip template and install it on your site. The application will be also accessible from the CMS back end after the .zip file was installed. The changes will be saved to the site then.
Note, that Themler does not edit the content now and you won;t be able to export the sample content.
Also the exported .zip file can be installed on several sites and you can access Themler from all those sites and update them separately then.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
Hella
