Dear Themler,

I have the latest version of Themler running on 32bit Windows 7 Ultimate OS on a laptop. Prestashop won't save. And I get the attached error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, all to no avail. All the other CMS editors seem to be working fine... But to tell you the truth I haven't had a chance to seriously play with any of the other's except HTML 5 and Wordpress. Before I try to migrate all my files over to my other Laptop... Can you help?

All the best,
Christopher

Hi,

Could you please attach the problem theme and theme modules so we can check them?
c:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_4194500006\prestashop\themes\
both [theme] and [theme_preview] folders.
c:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_4194500006\prestashop\modules\
"designer"
"designerpreview"
"blocktopmenu_mod"
modules.

Thank you,
Olivia

Thank you for the prompt response. Attached please find the folders you requested.

One other thing I have noticed about the Prestashop editor... When clicking the "Updates" button, the program seems to go thru all the motions, but at the end of the process, there is no change of interface.

Hi,

Could you please try installing a fresh Themler Desktop installation:
http://themler.com/download
Please do not remove CMS and CMS data during installation to keep your existing PrestaShop and themes.
Then you will be able to update the theme.

Please let us know the result.

Thank you,
Olivia

I have done as you requested. I am not surprised to say, it had no affect.

Best,
Christopher

Hi,

It seems that I misunderstood the developers and you need to be removed Themler with CMS and themes.
Not really good solution. Let's try the following:

  1. Go to Magento Admin Panel >> Modules >> Modules >> find 3 Themler modules and remove them (uninstall and remove).
  2. do you have a theme with "Untitled" name installed? If not please download the blank theme from http://themler.com/Download/PrestaShop and install it under Preferences >> Themes.
  3. then install/enable modules installed with this theme under the Modules >> Modules.

Now you should be able to update the problem theme.

Thank you,
Olivia

Dear Olivia,

The above sounds a bit complicated and confused. Did you mean to say "Magento" in step one? Or did you misspeak? Also, if I understand your first sentence, the developers think if I do a complete uninstall, and wipe all my projects. And then reinstall Themler, the problem will be fixed? So I have done a clean install of Themler on my other laptop... And the program seems to be working fine. So maybe we can close this topic.

Am I correct in assuming that if I snag the corresponding file folders from my other CMS projects and drop them into their respective folders on my new install of Themler, then I will have successfully migrated my ongoing projects? As below:

c:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_4194500006\prestashop\themes\
both [theme] and [theme_preview] folders.

Hi,

Sorry, Magento -> means Prestashop. I had a parallel topic with Magento. Sorry.
The idea is to update the theme modules:
c:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_4194500006\prestashop\modules\
"designer"
"designerpreview"
"blocktopmenu_mod"
The theme installs modules but do not update them. Therefore if you have old modules you may face the reported issue. Re-installation of Desktop will reinstall PrestaShop and theme and modules (this is what we need). But I think that it is better to install fresh modules from the updated theme. For this we need to remove old modules and install theme with updated modules (a blank theme, for example). I'm also attaching the updated "Testing" theme you attached.

Please let us know if you need our further assistance.

Thank you,
Olivia
