Hi!

I have Wordpress + Themler E-COMMERCE

I would like to have 3 pages on my website that use the same Template. However I would need a widget area that shows page specific products.

Thats the short version of it. Long version:

Iam creating a website and have 3 pages which I want to use the same template. Lets call them "Icecream", "Cakes" and "Other". The template for them shows the respective content, the picture and now I would like to add a widget area that shows Icecream/Cakes/Other items from the Woocommerce webshop on each seperate page. Ofcourse Icecream just on the Icecream page and so on.
My thinking is that I would need 3 seperate widget areas and populate them with the specific woocommerce product category widget.

Any solutions? Because when I try to add a widget area to the green area in the templatte it "translates" it into and HTML section and the widget area doesnt get recognized.

Regards,
Simon

Hi,

You can try to use one widget area, but in WP admin area add three different widgets and assign them to the specific pages. There is such option in each widget options.

Sincerely,
Hella

Thanks Hella!

Dont know why i completely overlooked this widget feature... I used it before just havent connected the dots in this case.

For someone else who might look for a similar solution and doesnt have as much knowledge (I know I hate it when I google and find something but the solution isnt described properly or isnt even there), here you go:

Go to "Design", then "widgets" and in this case put the same widget multiple times in the same widget area (Which was created in the page template). Then set Show widget on: -> Selected Pages -> Insert ID of Page(s) you want each widget to be shown (One ID for each widget in this case)
Proceed to configure the seperate widgets according to the pages you need and done.

Have done all that but it is not working. The id is the name of the page?
It still shows on all pages or none.
I don't have the pages individualy to select.

Hi,

Please create a private topic and provide an access to the site back end and also indicate on what pages what widget should be visible.

Hella
