I am new to Themler but experienced in Artisteer and feel like I'm missing something...

I would like to have a background on all pages set to an image and then, as it was in Artisteer, have the "content" have another style of background ontop of that. One that is inclusive of the header, article & footer in order to have a seemless transition for the background image.

I can't seem to figure out how to do this in Themler...

Hi,

I assume that you are talking about the whole site background and the sheet background as it was in Artisteer.
In Themler you can add the page background using the Design >> Background. For the Header, Content and Footer you will need to set the background separately.

Sincerely,
Hella

So the answer is "No. You can't."

That sucks....

No, you can not do it the same as in Artisteer. But you can use the background for several different controls as I have suggested above.

Hella

I understand that but it won't work for my design. I need a single image represented in those fields. Putting it into each won't work as the image isn't seamless

Hello,

Could you please specify what you are trying to achieve? As I understand it for now, you can set Page Background and then set transparent background for other controls like Header, Content&Sidebars, Footer and containers.

I want Image A to be my background image. Behind everything in the back.

I want Image B to be situated from the header to the footer without adding it multiple times so it is one seamless photo ontop of Image A and beneath the text.

Hello,

If Image B should cover Header, Content&Sidebars and Footer, then these steps should help:
1. Remove Background from Header (and Section and Container in it), Footer (and Section and Backward Links), Content&Sidebars. Set it to No Background.
2. Add Image A as background image in the Design tab.
3. Add Container to the Template. Drag Header, CMS Content and Footer into this Container so that they are at the same level (Outline in the left panel should be helpful).
4. Add Image B as background image for this Container.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

I cannot seem to get it to work as you describe. The content won't drag into the new container
