Merging 2 cells

Maybe is a stupid question but I must to ask if it´s possible in a 6 cells table layout merge a two vertical cells and create a single vertical cell.
I have been deleting cells in order...

i have few templates made my self. is there any chance that i can merge templates parts in to one page so i dont need to use 12 diferent tempaltes separatly ?
