The discount in the Special Offer depends on your current subscription and its status (active, expired).
Therefore the size of the discount is different in different cases.
The max discount is a discount for renewal of the active subscription - up to 82%.

So what is the discount for more if I want to extend the subscription that expires only in May. Currently I have PRO until May

I should therefore be able to extend 40 usd - 80%, or 8 usd for 1 year from May 2018.

You will have a renewal of your subscription, for the black friday period, of 1 year.
After this 1 BF-year, the days that are left in your actual subscription will be added afterwards.

So you will now pay 1 black friday year, and extend your actual subscription with 1 year.
Only the dates will be a changing for now, but in fact, your subscription will end then on May 2020
